Nokia Launch 3 New Music Phones

Not content with bringing out one new phone weeks after the long-awaited 5800 XpressMusic – Nokia has three new music mobiles up its sleeve: the 5730 XpressMusic, 5330 XpressMusic and 5030 XpressRadio handset.

These new phones are expected to go on sale some time in the third quarter of 2009.

The 5730 XpressMusic comes in black with a fire engine red, hot pink or neon blue trim and is Nokia’s first music handset to have a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard as well as a regular alphanumeric keypad on top.

The homescreen is dynamic, displaying information on music, people, games, email and calendar. It also has a shortcut for quick access to your music collection as well as access to the Nokia Music Store.

The Ovi Contacts feature means you can see when your friends are online, chat with them and see what music hey are listening to.

The estimated retail price is €280 before tax, pricey but Nokia is probably on to a winner with its music/chat combination as the slide-out handset has been huge with teens and young adults.

Nokia’s new 5330 XpressMusic

The new 5330 XpressMusic is not quite as fancy I that it doesn’t come with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but it does have a great design – all black gloss and killer curves and will retail at an ERP of €180 when it goes on sale.

The cheap and cheerful 5030 XpressRadio – Nokia’s first handset with an internal FM antennae makes for a robust portable radio device

Finally the Nokia 5030 will be a great recession buster of a handset with an ERP under €40 and is the first Nokia mobile to have an internal FM antenna so no need for earphones or external speakers – the XpressRadio essentially doubles as a portable FM radio and has battery power of an entire day of listening time.
