Nokia Carbon Arte Phone…..What Credit Crunch!

The latest addition to Nokia’s range of high-profile mobile phones has been tested by Trusted Reviews.

According to site contributor Sandra Vogel, the Symbian S40-powered 8800 Sapphire Arte is available sim-free at around £979, giving the new Carbon Arte and expected price tag of around the same.

This, she states, puts the handset out of many people’s reach, but for those who want the most exclusive devices it could prove all the more tempting.

Crafted from carbon fibre, glass, titanium and stainless steel, the 8800 Carbon Arte comes with 4GB of internal memory, a Bluetooth headset, desktop stand, microUSB port and a cleaning cloth with pouch.

In terms of features, the phone is tri-band with 3G connectivity, has a 3.2-megapixel camera and media player.

However, the reviewer concludes that shoppers will have to decide for themselves if “the array of bundled paraphernalia and what the 8800 Carbon Arte itself has to offer [adds] up to a grand’s worth of your hard-earned”.
