Is the BlackBerry Niagara 9630 being unveiled tomorrow? RIM is making an announcement with T-Mobile on Wednesday, and we’re hoping it might just be the 3G BlackBerry Curve 8900, Bold and Storm mashup that’s been sighted here, there and everywhere.
The BlackBerry Niagara 9630 has yet to be officially announced but the hands-on pics that leaked last month show it’s very much real, and a fantastic cross between current trio of smartphones. But is the BlackBerry Niagara 9630 launching tomorrow?
We’ve been invited for a briefing tomorrow afternoon, but what does the evidence point to so far? Boy Genius Report has already gone and reviewed the BlackBerry Niagara 9630, and the latest sighting, which reeks of publicity stunt, has seen a BlackBerry Niagara 9630 snapped by a street sign of the same name in RIM’s home country of Canada.
On the down side, RIM’s big tradeshow, WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) is next month, and you’d have to expect a big announcement there, like say, the BlackBerry Niagara 9630.
We’ve got our fingers crossed for tomorrow though, as lack of 3G was near the only flaw in the Curve 8900. Combine that with an improved keyboard, and you’ve got a serious rival to the Palm Pre for power emailers.
