Since the iPhone currently does not support Flash-based Web videos, you can’t just to go ABC.com on your iPhone’s browser and click play to watch a full episode of your favorite TV show.

So for now, or at least until the rumored iPhone-version of Hulu.com or the Slingplayer iPhone app arrive, streaming full episodes of your favorite TV shows on your iPhone takes a little more work.

Here are four free ways to do it.

Keep in mind that if you are riding in a car or train the quality of the video will fluctuate, depending on your connection speed. With all of these options, you can tilt your phone to watch the video in landscape mode.

1. Watch “30 Rock,” “The Office,” “Heroes” and other NBC shows

Visit m.nbc.com on your iPhone and click on “Video” and then “Full Episodes.” Once you select a show to watch, click on the first part to watch it. Videos play best when you have a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. You can use this URL to watch full episodes on other mobile phones.

2. Watch “How I Met Your Mother,” “Survivor” and other CBS shows with the free “TV.com” app
Download TV.com (pictured at right) from the app store to watch these popular shows as well full episodes of classic shows such as “Beverley Hills 90210,” “Family Ties,” “Twin Peaks” and “The Love Boat.” Videos play best when you have a 3G or Wi-Fi connection. You can browse through full episode s of shows.

3. Watch “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “Smallville” and other CW shows

To watch popular shows from the CW including “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” and Smallville,” visit iphone.cwtv.com on your iPhone browser. When you click on “Video,” you can search for full episodes of particular shows. The app works best with a 3G or Wi-Fi connection.

4. Download the free “Joost” app

You must have a Wi-Fi connection to use the Joost app (pictured at right). Much of the programming on here is obscure, or from other countries, but you can watch classic shows such as “The Lone Ranger” and “Star Trek” or other shows such as “Punk’d.” There doesn’t appear to be a way to browse through full episodes of shows.

There are also lots of networks that allow you to watch clips of shows on a mobile version of its Web site. These include: TLC, The Discovery Channel, E! Entertainment, MTV and A&E.

And if you’re a fan of AMC shows including “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men,” you can download the free “AMC” iPhone app to watch video clips and interviews. Unfortunately, even though the app’s description says it includes full episodes, there don’t seem to be any.

And of course you can always watch TV shows on your iPhone by downloading them to your computer and syncing them to your device.
